Itinerary
Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona, Spain | August 2 | Day 1
Departure Port: Barcelona, Spain
Departure Time: 6:00PM
With its laid-back attitude, fresh-from-the-sea cuisine, and thriving art scene, Barcelona is the envy of every other Mediterranean city. No other stop on the Mediterranean oozes culture like Barcelona. Thanks to the famous Antoni Gaudí’s avant-garde architecture and influence, Barcelona boasts nine UNESCO World Heritage sites for visitors to marvel at. The Catalonian capital attracts bohemians, nomads and separatists seeking independence.
Beyond the bucket-list destinations like La Sagrada Familia and La Rambla, Barcelona’s unique barrios beg to be explored. Each district has its own personality with its own charm like El Born’s chic bars and boutiques and Barri Gotic’s historic streets. In Barcelona, it’s easy to wander from district to district with its small city feel and sights that turn heads on every city block.
Palma de Mallorca
Palma de Mallorca, Spain | August 3 | Day 2
Port: Barcelona, Spain
Departure Time: 8:00AM - 6:00PM
Hidden coves, hilltop villages and limestone mountains make the island of Mallorca an irresistible stop in the Mediterranean. Palma de Mallorca (Palma for short) rose from instability — switching between Roman, Byzantine, and Moor rule — and blossomed into an oasis. Today, expats and entrepreneurs populate Palma, living la vida loca with the highest standard of living in Spain.
Palma’s winding streets lead you to Gothic churches and scenic squares. Its central cathedral, the Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma (nicknamed La Seu) is the must-see landmark. The main drag, Passeig del Born, gives way to side streets with shops and art galleries while the nearby ex-fisherman village Santa Catalina is the city’s foodie quarter with up-and-coming bars and cute cafes. To get a full 360-degree view of Palma, visit Bellver Castle, one of Europe’s only circular castles, or gaze out from one of the city’s many rooftop bars.
Enjoy Ship Activities at Sea

Provence/Marseille France
Provence (Marseille), France | August 5 | Day 4
Docked: 8:00AM to 7:00PM
With the glamorous French Riviera to its east and quaint Provençal towns to its north, Marseille is the crossroads of Southern France. Its bustling port welcomes in a wave of diverse cultures giving it a distinct character that has contributed to the soul of Marseille.
As the oldest city in France, the streets of its Vieux Port and Le Panier quarter preserve thousands of years of history while also embracing modernity — with vibrant additions like murals, funky potted plants, and street art displays accenting the city. The Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde (affectionately called the La Bonne Mére for short) overlooks the city from the highest hill; giving visitors a bird’s eye view of Marseille. And if you’d really like to make like a local and get to know the city, order a pastis on ice (the official drink of Marseille) and post up at a cafe — taking in the incredible personality of the second-largest city in France.
Cannes, France | August 6 | Day 5
Docked: 8:00AM to 7:00PM
Famed for its annual star-studded international film festival, posh sunlounger-striped beaches, and massive yachts moored at the port, Cannes is one of the most glamorous cities in the French Riviera. A stroll down La Croisette, the town's long beach promenade, will lead you to numerous designer bars, couture stores, and fabulous hotels nestled in stunning old palaces.
Make sure to have your camera ready at all times — not only is celeb-spotting a common pastime in Cannes, but the remarkable architecture and unparalleled natural beauty give the A-listers a run for their money. Spend a day at the beach where Borat's infamous mankini made its debut, watch the sunset at the romantic old quarter of Le Suquet, or dance the night away like the rich and famous did at oh-so many film premiere parties. The city is packed with a sense of duality — where historic, European streets filled with low-key restaurants meet moments (okay, weeks) of peak social glitz and glamour — giving you the opportunity to experience this French gem any way you so choose.
This port may require Sailors to board a tender — it will both drop you off and pick you up from the ship to the port and vice versa.
Ajaccio, Corsica, France | August 6 | Day 5
Docked: 8:00AM to 5:00PM
As a French commune only seven miles from the Italian island of Sardinia, Corsica is a blend of French and Italian culture. The locals feel more Italian than French but enjoy francophile staples like boulangeries and charcuterie. The capital port city, Ajaccio, sits on the western side of a natural paradise with astonishing peaks and sprawling beaches.
Ajaccio’s small streets are steeped in Napoleonic history including Maison Bonaparte, the infamous commander’s ancestral home. Tucked away in the mountainous countryside you’ll find vineyards, endless hiking trails and wild boar (see charcuterie). The Ajaccio Market displays fresh honey, organic wine and aromatherapy oils harvested from the hills. Ajaccio is a gateway to the beaches along Corsica’s shores and the forests, canyons and coves hidden in the Mediterranean mountains.
Tuscany/Cinque Terre (La Spezia), Italy| August 7 | Day 6
Docked: 8:00AM to 8:00PM
La Spezia may not be the name that comes to mind when you mention Italy, but its proximity to some of the country’s more famous destinations (like Positano, Pisa, and Florence) is what makes it the perfect place to start your Italian adventure.
Located about halfway between Genoa and Pisa, hop a train (or boat, or taxi) to many of Italy’s famous cities, villages, and islets for a day trip, including Cinque Terre — the iconic coast of five colorful villages that tops most “must see'' travel lists — begin a food-forward journey into the sprawling orchards and vineyards that make up Ligura’s famed countryside, or take a scenic ride over the Tuscan hills into the Renaissance capital of the world — Florence.
While there are many Shore Things that take you outside of La Spezia, the city features a gorgeous waterfront naval museum (where you can easily spend an entire day), a hilltop fortress, a neighboring fishing islet, and plenty of traditional Italian fare to savor if you are looking to spend your time close to the ship.
At Sea | August 8 | Day 7
Santorini is one of the world’s most popular islands, known best for its dramatic scenery, whitewashed villages and fiery volcanic activity. Here adventure bubbles above the Aegean Sea in the most bold and breathtaking ways. A cable car takes you to the capital of Fira, a bustling cliff-top town awash with old cathedrals, enthralling museum collections and cozy tavernas. Venture to the coast for a swim in the deep blue waters that lap red and black pebbled beaches. And peel back layers of lava and history among excavated Akrotiri.
